If you ever wanted to ride the scenic trails of the Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard, this is your chance. The Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard’s Annual Spring Trail Ride and Optional Obstacle Course will take place on Saturday, May 2, and run from 9 am to noon (rain date, Saturday May 9). The trail begins at the Horse Guard facility located at 4 Wildlife Drive.

Sponsored by the Friends of 2GHG, a 501(c)(3) organization, the Spring Trail Ride and Optional Obstacle Course is an equestrian favorite. This year’s trial will not include water crossings.

The suggested per rider donation is $30 and registration forms are available online at thehorseguard.org. Proceeds will benefit the horses of 2GHG.

Safety helmets are required and riders under 18 years of age must have their registration form signed by a parent or guardian.

Each horse attending must have a negative Coggins certificate and there will be plenty of parking for horse trailers on the property.
