Leonardo Pavia, 58, of Bridgeport, died September 6 at his home.

Mr Pavia was born on February 14, 1947, in Faeto, Italy. He was the son of Anthony and Louisa (Cavaliere) Pavia.

Mr Pavia was a dispatcher, having worked for Pace Motor Lines in Stratford. He was a member of the Marchegiana Society of Bridgeport and he played in the Connecticut Hurricane Band. He loved his family and loved the sport of golf.

He was very much loved by his family and will be sadly missed.

Mr Pavia is survived by his two loving brothers, John Pavia and his wife, Nella, of Newtown and Michael Pavia and his wife, Rose, of Newtown; two loving sisters, Maria Gallucci of Bridgeport and Ann Tufaro and her husband, Pasqaule, of Monroe; and many loving nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Funeral services took place on September 10 in the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, Monroe, and in St Andrew Church in Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
