The Hawley School PTA is sponsoring a free event for children on Wednesday, June 24.

Timed to coincide with the Board of Education meeting also taking place that evening, children K-6 will be welcomed at NYA Sports & Fitness Center from 6 to 9:30 pm.

Parents can drop their children off at NYA, 4 Primrose Street, before heading to the meeting at Newtown High School. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30.

Reservations are required for the event; drop-ins will not be allows. Kids Night will include games of dodgeball, kickball and basketball, time for playing on inflatables, and movies (PG-rated).

Pizza, drinks and desserts will also be provided.

Space is limited to the first 75 children registered; online registration can be done here. Registration will close Tuesday, June 23.
