Brought Joy To Life

James “Jimmy” Patrick Prutting, Sr, 50, died September 19, at Griffin Hospital, surrounded by his loving family and loyal friends. Born in Bridgeport to Mary M. (Gannon) Prutting and Donald W. Prutting, Sr, he was a lifelong area resident.

He is survived by his longtime companion of 32 years, Denise Simone; four brothers, including Kenneth Prutting of Newtown; his five loving sons; one sister; and four grandchildren. Mr Prutting was predeceased by his parents;  a brother; and his daughter, Batina.

He worked in the flower business for years. He enjoyed living life to the fullest and had a natural ability to spread laughter.

Funeral services were held September 24. Interment will be private.
