Newtown High School’s girls’ basketball team will raise money for an outdoor basketball court at Sandy Hook Elementary School when the Nighthawks play home games this weekend and early next week.

Donations will be accepted when the Hawks host Saddle River Day School on Saturday, December 19, beginning at 5 pm; and when Newtown hosts its annual Threes For Charity Tournament Monday, December 21, and Tuesday, December 22.

The Nighthawks will host Hillhouse of New Haven on December 21, beginning at 7 pm, and take on either Cromwell or Pomperaug of Southbury the next night, at a time to be determined.
