SCORE Social Media Workshops Offered

BRIDGEPORT ­— SCORE of Greater Bridgeport is presenting a workshop titled “Social Media: How Can You Incorporate Social Media Into Your Small Business,” Wednesday October 24, from 6 to 8 pm. The workshop will be held at FSW, Inc, 475 Clinton Avenue, at the corner of Clinton and Fairfield Avenues.

The workshop presenter is Cynthia Cavoto, a social media strategist in Stratford. She is the founder and chief fire starter at Firebrand Social Media, providing small business owners and entrepreneurs with a social media strategy that is based on their specific goals.

Ms Covoto provides Facebook and Twitter management along with LinkedIn and blogging strategies. She also creates and maintains Enewsletters for her clients.

A former computer programmer, Ms Cavoto also works to utilize and initiate new technologies for her clients.

SCORE is also presenting a series of workshops at the Fairfield Public Library including:

*Social Media Marketing for Small Business Owners, Tuesday, October 23 at 7 pm. Learn the steps you need to take to ensure you are spending your resources to maximize the benefits of this essential marketing channel. Topics will include Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. The presenter is Ed Kuryluk – chief thinker at Right Mind Marketing, a marketing think tank based in Fairfield.

 *Using LinkedIn to Grow Your Business, Tuesday, December 11, at 7 pm. Learn how to use LinkedIn the right way to produce referrals, leads, and sales for your business. The presenter is Carol McManus, America’s LinkedIn lady and owner of YWait4Success.
