The Town and Country Garden Club of Newtown will present “JOY! 50 Years of Celebrations,” a standard flower show in celebration of the club’s golden anniversary, which occurred in 2014.

The show will be presented at C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street in Newtown, on Saturday and Sunday, June 12-13. Free and open to the public, the show will be on view Friday from 1 to 5 pm and Saturday from 10 am until 4 pm. 

The Design Class will represents a decade with traditional anniversary gifts as the theme and a key component of the design.

The Horticulture Division, titled “The Garden in June — A Joy to Behold!,” will feature a variety of plant material.

A Special Educational Exhibit will focus on composting, invasive vines, and how house plants improve the inner environment.

The flower show will give the club the opportunity to promote the love of gardening and floral design as well as highlight the civic contribution it makes through the maintenance of three traffic islands in the Borough.
