Kymber Jennings and Daniel Beers

Matthew and Dayne Jennings of Moses Lake, Wash., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kymber Nichole Jennings, to Daniel James Beers, son of David and Judith Beers of Newtown.

Kymber, 24, is a graduate from Moses Lake Christian Academy in Moses Lake, Wash., in 2003. In 2008 she graduated from Central Washington University with a BA in German and a BA in history. She is currently working in Seattle at the Academy of Languages as Assistant Interpreter Coordinator.

Daniel, 29, graduated from Newtown High School in 1998. In 2002 he graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., with a BS/BA in Journalism and Political Science. He is currently completing his doctoral dissertation in Comparative Politics and will receive his PhD from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., in June.

Kymber and Daniel met in the fall of 2007 in Bucharest, Romania. Daniel was in Romania on a Fulbright-Hays Fellowship to research for his dissertation, and Kymber was interning at the Fulbright Educational Advising Center in Bucharest.

They will be married in August 2009 at Golden Gardens Park in Seattle.
