For her wedding day, Rachel wore a Watters & Watters white satin strapless gown that featured a drape bodice and dropped waist, with a satin ribbon at the waist. She carried a bouquet of white lilies and daisies with maidenhair ferns, with the stems wrapped in white ribbon.

Maid of honor was Laura Ermini of Minneapolis, Minn. Her silk chartreuse dress was mid-calf length, with a natural neckline front and back, spaghetti straps, and a satin ribbon tied into a front bow. The dress had an empire waist and a silk chiffon overlay. She carried a smaller bouquet that also featured lilies, daisies, and ferns.

She attended Hawley Elementary School, Newtown Middle School, and then Newtown High School, graduating with the Class of 1998. She then attended and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Penn., in 2002. She is employed as a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing for Fairfax County Schools.
