Wet Leaves
Motorist Danielle Gadoci, 16, of 331 South Main Street, was driving a 1996 Nissan Sentra eastward on Castle Hill Road, near King Street, about 5 pm September 17, when the vehicle slid on some wet leaves, entered the westbound lane and then struck some curbing, police report.
Gadoci was not injured. Police issued her a written warning for failure to drive to the right on a curve.
Stratford Man
Motorist Terrence Nesmith, 27, of Stratford, who was driving westward on Wasserman Way, near Mile Hill Road South, on September 15, lost control of his vehicle and went off the road, coming to rest on some turf, police report. Nesmith was not injured.
After investigating, police arrested Nesmith on charges including driving while under suspension and making a restricted turn. Police released him on a written promise to appear in court on September 29.
Probation Charge
Police said they received a call early on the morning of September 18 concerning a suspicious person who was disturbing some residents in the Parmalee Hill Road area.
Police said they went to the area to investigate and found Robert J. Harmonay, 45, of 19 Valley Field Road walking on Parmalee Hill Road. Police said they held an outstanding warrant for Harmonayâs arrest on a charge of violation of probation, which stems from a 2003 arrest.
Police then charged Harmonay with violation of probation and held him on $10,000 bail for a September 19 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
GMC Vs Volvo
On September 14, motorist Meredith Sena, of New Milford, who was driving a 2002 GMC Envoy southward on The Boulevard, was traveling behind southbound motorist Elizabeth Alvord of Norwalk, who was driving a 1995 Volvo 850, police said.
Alvord then stopped for some northbound traffic, which was maneuvering around a parked truck, according to police.
The GMC attempted to stop, but struck the rear end of the Volvo, police said. There were no injuries. Police issued Sena a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
Wrong-Way Driver
State police report they received multiple telephone calls alerting them that a motorist was traveling eastward in the westbound lanes of Interstate 84 about 4:11 am on September 18.
State police said they found motorist Erin Valiska, 19, of Danbury driving eastward in the westbound lanes near Exit 11. State police said they safely stopped the vehicle driven by Valiska and then investigated.
State police charged Valiska with driving under the influence, reckless driving, driving the wrong way, and failure to carry a driverâs license.
After posting $1,000 bail, state police released Valiska for an October 3 court appearance.
Ramp Accident
About 11:03 pm on September 16, motorist Kimberly Vinci, 17, of 24 Rock Ridge Rd, who was driving a 1987 Toyota Supra in wet conditions on eastbound Interstate 84âs Exit 10 on-ramp, lost control of the auto and spun out, striking some guardrailing, according to state police. Vinci was not injured, said state police, who issued her a warning for traveling too fast for conditions.
MV Violations
Police said they stopped motorist Dennis Kimball, 30, of 27-A Walnut Tree Hill Road on The Boulevard about 6:30 pm September 19 for not having a front marker plate on the vehicle he was driving. After investigating, police charged Kimball with failure to display a marker plate and with driving while under suspension. After processing the arrest, police released Kimball on a written promise to appear October 6 in Danbury Superior Court.

Hawleyville Collision
Motorist Shea Glaser, 16, of Ridgefield, who was driving a 1995 Infiniti J-30 sedan southward on Hawleyville Road about 6:38 pm September 16, struck the rear end of a 2003 Honda Accord coupe driven by Michel Donaty, 69, of Danbury, which was stopped and waiting for a red traffic signal at the intersection of Hawleyville Road and Mt Pleasant Road, police said.
There were no injuries. Police issued Glaser an infraction ticket for following too closely.
Mt Pleasant Road
Police report a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Mt Pleasant Road and Saw Mill Road about 7:41 pm Sept 16.
Motorist Alicia Solimine, 36, of New Milford, who was driving a 2004 Suzuki Aerio sedan, was attempting to enter Mt Pleasant Road from Saw Mill Rd, as motorist Satira Moffat, 16, of 4 Dylan Drive was driving a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country minivan on Mt Pleasant Rd, police said.
The two vehicles collided. The accident occurred on wet roads. There were no injuries.
Police verbally warned Solimine for failure to grant the right of way. Police verbally warned Moffat for traveling too fast.
Slippery Road
Motorist Jose Sumba, 28, of Danbury was driving a 1990 Toyota Celica eastward on Castle Hill Road, near King Street, about 8:40 am September 20, when while starting to negotiate a curve to the right, he slid on the wet roadway, went off the eastbound road shoulder and struck a rock, police report.
Sumba was not injured. Police issued him a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions.
Seatbelt Incident
Newtown police and state police were conducting a seatbelt compliance check on passing motorists at the Exit 11 off-ramp of Interstate 84 on September 21, when they spotted motorist Martin Schneider, 54, of 6 Bradley Lane not wearing his seatbelt, according to Newtown police.
Schneider was stopped and issued an infraction ticket for not wearing his seatbelt, after which he got out of his vehicle and became agitated and confrontational, Newtown police said.
Police said they charged Schneider with disorderly conduct and with interfering with police. Schneider was released on $250 bail for an October 11 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Three-Car Accident
An accident involving three automobiles occurred on westbound Berkshire Road about 10 am September 17.
Motorist Dominick Savino, 49, of 46 Great Ring Road, who was driving a 2000 Honda Accord, slowed for traffic conditions, police said. Motorist Elmer Taylor, 76, of Monroe, who was driving a 2005 Toyota Camry behind the Honda, also slowed for conditions, police said.
Motorist Kim Finlay, 24, of Shelton, who was driving a 1990 Honda Accord, attempted to stop but struck the rear end of the Toyota driven by Taylor, pushing the Toyota into the rear end of the Honda driven by Savino, police said.
 There were no injuries. Police issued Finlay an infraction ticket for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
Hyundai Hit
Police learned about 2 pm September 17 that an unoccupied 2000 Hyundai Elantra, which had been parked in the parking lot at Starbucks Coffee at 34 Church Hill Road, had been damaged by another vehicle. A passenger-side door and fender were damaged. Police ask anyone with information on the matter to contact them at 426-5841.
