Garden Club Honors Felicia Valus

The Town and Country Garden Club of Newtown recently presented member Felicia Valus with a well-deserved Life Member Award from Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut.

Mrs Valus was nominated for the award because of the many contributions she has made in her ten years as a member of the Newtown club. She has taught classes on flower design, served as chairman of the horticultural committee several times, opened her gardens to the club membership, and earned a blue ribbon at the state flower show this year.

Town and Country Garden Club meets the second Wednesday of each month at the senior center complex in Sandy Hook; new members are always welcome.
