Taking On Town Hall South
Town Hall South will have its own maintenance man starting next week. The man hired for the job is Mike Snyder, who has been working part-time at Edmond Town Hall for the past 18 months.
First Selectman Herb Rosenthal said Mr Snyder, who was among several candidates, was the obvious choice. He starts his new job Monday morning.
âThe police department needs lots of love,â Mr Snyder said Wednesday, excited about the prospect of having a building to clean and call his own. And if his work at Edmond Town Hall is any indication, Town Hall South should be shining by the end of the summer.
âHeâs a hard worker,â Mr Rosenthal said. âThe police department had been asking for a regular guy down there and we put money in the budget for this.â
The townâs social services department recently moved into Town Hall South and the Parks & Recreation Department is expected to follow by September. The building no longer leaks and the townâs highway department recently completed a handful of alterations and added a fresh coat of paint.
Parks & Recreation, health, building, and land use offices were all forced to leave Town Hall South four years ago after the building was overcome by flooding and general deterioration.
