To the Editor:

We can't thank the community enough for its continued support of the Newtown Animal Control Shel-ter.  Due to your active involvement in supporting our shelter and tremendous generosity of successful  adoptions, money, dog supplies, blankets, towels, laundry detergent, paper towels, can cat food, we have been able to provide care for many animals, including those that are sick, elderly and injured, that are in our guardianship due to various reasons such as owner surrenders and neglect case investigations.

Our staff and volunteers are special people who love animals on a different level. They care for the animals, they feed the animals, they rehabilitate and bond with the animals, teaching them to trust again.

On behalf of the staff and the animals of Newtown Animal Control Shelter, we extend to you our heartfelt appreciation for your support of our shelter and look forward to continuing our mission to in-crease adoptions and improve the lives of homeless animals. We know that we alone cannot change the world, but if our efforts at Newtown Animal Control Shelter inspire you to better understand the needs of these animals, and influence you to assist us in helping them, then together we can positively trans-form the future of homeless animals in our community.
