Marijuana Arrest

After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, a male youth under age 18 turned himself over to police at the police station about 7:45 pm on March 22 and was charged with a drug offense, police said.

Police said they arrested the unidentified boy on a charge of possession of less than four ounces of marijuana in connection with an incident that occurred at Newtown High School on February 25.

Police did not disclose the boy’s name, as state law shields the identities of people under 18 who are charged with crimes.

 After arrest processing, police released the boy on a written promise to appear on March 28 in Danbury Youthful Offender Court.

Mini-Cooper Vs Deer

Motorist Isaac Rosario, 34, of New Haven was driving a 2003 two-door Mini-Cooper auto westward on Berkshire Road, near Fir Tree Lane, about 9 pm on March 22, when a deer ran across the street in front of the vehicle, police said.

The auto and the deer collided. Rosario was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
