Rotary Student Of The Month

The Newtown Rotary Club named Jennifer Haghpanah Student of the Month for the Social Studies Department. Jennifer is a hard-working student at Newtown High School and is dedicated to her work. She has been studying dance and the viola since she was very young and continues in these studies.

Jennifer’s school activities include the Chamber Ensemble, National Honors Society, the Leo Club, Outdoor Track, Future Teachers of America, softball, Key Club, peer counselor, Newtown High School Internship Program, Guidance Honors Association, and the String Ensemble.

In addition, she belongs to the Danbury Community Orchestra, the Fairfield Orchestra, and has done 110 hours of community service at St Vincent’s Hospital.

She attributes her ability to take part in all these activities to good time management. In the future she hopes to be a famous scientist or psychologist.
