BOTSFORD DRIVE-IN 12, POLAND SPRINGS 1: Joe Gantert’s three-run homer in the fifth inning sealed the victory for Botsford Drive-In. Ryan Chapin contributed a double and a single with two RBI. Jim Dietter punched out two singles, scoring twice, and Tyler Hull singled to drive in a run. Gantert and Hull combined on the mound, allowing only two hits. For Poland Springs, Greg Mayer hit the ball well and Adam Fisher was strong on defense.

BOTSFORD DRIVE-IN 9, EMMETT & GLANDER 2: Greg Britton, Tyler Hull and Joe Gantert combined on the mound for a two-hitter, allowing just two runs. Ryan Chapin banged out a pair of hits, scoring three times. Gantert smashed a triple and drove in three runs while Pat Coakley, Jim Dietter, Dan McIlrath, Hull and Britton each had a hit. For E&G, Chris Miller doubled and drove in both runs. Paul Peterson also had a hit.

13 PREP

TENDLER REAL ESTATE 10, BERKSHIRE MOTORS 0: Steve Chuddy and CJ Maurer combined on a two-hit shutout to lead Tendler to the win. Brett Eastman had three put outs and assisted on a double play to lead the defense and Jeff Levasseur paced the offense with two RBI and a run scored. For Berkshire, Kyle Lyddy pitched well in relief and Sean Reilly had a strong game at catcher.

AMERICAN MAJORS

NORTH ATLANTIC CONSTRUCTION 8, FIRESIDE INN 4: Gary Andrews and TJ Mueller each went 3-for-3 as North Atlantic clipped Fireside. Ben Striano and Brian Conroy pitched well while Scott Shannon and Louis Ritzinger were solid on defense. For Fireside, Brian Shimko and Tommy Santella paced the offense as Roy Scheunemann and Shimko shared the mound duties. Michael Tibbetts and Will Brooks both were solid in the field.

FIRESIDE INN 9, OCON 7: Michael Tibbetts, Brian Fogelstrom and Brian Shimko all pitched well, combining for nine strikeouts to lead Fireside to the win. Tibbetts and Roy Scheunemann contributed two hits apiece to the offense. For OCON, Alex Dolan kept the game close, holding Fireside scoreless over the last two innings. Steve Vichiola and Dolan scored two runs apiece.

GRAHAM PAINTING 15, UNION SAVINGS BANK 5: Jason Pankowski drove in three runs while Cody Shpunt and Seth Hull drove in two runs apiece to lead Graham Painting to the win. Jake Putnicki and Ryan McGrath combined on the hill while Tucker Kass showed some acrobatic defensive moves at first base and JP McDade was strong behind the plate. For Union Savings, Drew Adamek was 2-for-3, Tommy Wilson doubled, and Brad Campbell and Thomas Hutchinson hit the ball hard. Michael Chapin and Mike Hennessy shared the pitching duties.

GRAHAM PAINTING 4, FIRESIDE INN 3: Ryan McGrath, Kevin Silber, Matt Berquist and Jake Putnicki powered the offense in a tight victory over Fireside. Putnicki, McGrath and Seth Hull combined for 13 strikeouts on the mound while Silber (a diving catch at first) and Putnicki (two outstanding throws from centerfield) led the D. For Fireside, Bryan Fogelstrom and Shane Huebner both smashed doubles while Joshua Wilson and Will Brooks hit the ball well. Fogelstrom and Mike Tibbetts scattered five hits in a fine pitching performance. On defense, Wilson robbed Graham Painting of extra base hits on two occasions and catcher Tom Santella kept the Tigers from advancing on the base paths.

NATIONAL MAJORS

JURMAN-METRICS 11, HICKEY SEPTIC 7: Robert Simone clubbed a triple and Benjamin Krinke stole three bases to power the Jurman-Metrics offense to a win. Brendan Hintzen went 2-for-3 with a double. Tom Selleck, Chris Reid, Simone and William Spencer all shared time on the mound while Charles Perry was strong at second base. For Hickey, Eric Socci, Steven Bowers and Mike Laux combined for six hits and five RBI. Spencer Roberts, Daniel Bunger and Jonathan Kempf had strong games defensively.

JURMAN-METRICS 10, BERLINER-GELFANI 9: Eric Jurman hit an inside-the-park home run and scored three times to lead Jurman-Metrics to the extra-inning win. Carlos Fuentes was 3-for-4 while Chris Elias had a strong game at first base. William Spencer pitched four strong innings to get his third win of the year. For Berliner, David Villarreal had four hits and Jackson Blawie clubbed a pair of triples. Blawie played six strong innings behind the plate and Ken Cardell was also strong in the field. Croy Carlin (nursing a knee injury), Villarreal and Daniel Murdock all pitched well.

ATTORNEY NATALIA KERLER 25, JURMAN-METRICS 15: Colin Cieniawa clubbed a pair of triples and doubled to lead Natalia Kerler in an explosive offensive effort. Nick Smith also tripled and Jim Leebaert banged a double. Cieniawa, Scudder Baggett, Leebaert and Smith all combined on the mound for the win while Patrick Honan, Dillon DeSimone and James Wiedemann made key defensive plays. For Jurman-Metrics, Chris Reid was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI. Tom Selleck pitched three strong innings and rapped a triple and Scott Berry and Jeffrey Bonaccoro had solid defensive games.

AAA

DRUG CENTER 3, INTUITIVE COMPUTERS 2: Francis Oggeri had a pair of hits and scored two runs while Jeff Correa banged out a hit to lead Drug Center to the win. PJ Cochrane was strong on the mound, striking out 11 batters in five innings of work. Jeff Davis pitched solid in one inning of relief, recording three strikeouts. For Intuitive, Curtis Liska pitched three innings of shutout ball and, at the plate, Sean Matschke homered.

WALKER INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS 12, WILLIAM PITT REAL ESTATE 11: Sean Ryan went 2-for-4 and drove in the winning run in the last inning. Jamie Post and Chuck Brooks banged out two hits apiece, with Post scoring the game-winner. Brooks, Andrew Kirnir, Matt Saxonmeyer and Ryan Boucher teamed up to pitch. Dan Rahmlow, Chris Leibold and Kirner were solid on D. For William Pitt, Keith Hogenauer and Mike Frattaroli had key hits while Ben Gersten pitched well. Chris Park, Timmy Cawley and Tyler Tarantino played well in the field.

INTUITIVE COMPUTERS 19, JF WALSH LOGGING 3: The Killer Bees used a combinating of great fielding, pitching and hitting for the win. For JF Walsh, Brett Mauro, Alex Magoulas, Tucker LaPak and Joel Minalgo all played well.

INTUITIVE COMPUTERS 13, WELL FLEET FINANCIAL 5: Sean Matschke (leadoff home run) and Donny Warner-Crouch led the Intuitive offense while Mathew Coletti and Adam Contor led the dfense. Kevin Davies and Kurtis Liska pitched well. For Well Fleet, Kyle Murphy, Jacob Burg, Michael Woessner, Ryan Wilson and Zach Seaman all played well.

CONGER DRYWALL 9, JF WALSH LOGGING 8: Jared Modzelewski and Kyle DiNicola pitched well, Michael Maher slugged a home run, and Zack Conger and Dan Palermo played well on defense to lead Conger to the win. For JF Walsh, Tucker LaPak, Louis Enriquez and Brett Mauro played well.

DRUG CENTER 10, CONGER DRYWALL 5: Bob Lapple (the win) and PJ Cochrane (the save) pitched well to lead Drug Center to the win. Jeff Correa and Jim Gaston hit the ball well while Francis Oggeri and Katie Schmidt were solid on defense. For Conger, Michael Maher, Peter Copeland and Thaddeus Adams all had good games.

MINORS

TAUNTON PRESS 8, SUGAR HILL AUTO BODY 4: Zach Gordon banged out three hits and Max Muraskiewicz clubbed a home run to lead Taunton Press. Christopher Page made a great catch in the outfield and Michael Bunger was solid at third base. For Sugar Hill, David Bray tripled and RJ Swift banged out a pair of hits. Sparkling plays at second base were turned in Robert Brautigam. Andrew Meisel also turned in an unassisted double play.

CURTIS & CRANDON 5, ASSOCIATED REFUSE 3: Matthew Lewin and Ben Federman led the offense for C&C. Trevor Todd was strong on defense, making all three outs in one particular inning (one double play and one ground ball). Cole Depuy also played well. For Associated, Kevin Brown and Kyle Desrochers had key hits that drove in runs while Tucker Schmidt and Kyle Droniak turned in fine defensive performances.

RIVER CONE 14, BK SEPTIC 10: Nick Wilson went 3-for-3 and Robbie Phillips went 3-for-4 to power River Cone to the win. Cameron Gehrman and Tyler Davenport both had good games in the field. For BK, Alex Kron and Sam Miller each went 3-for-3 while Joe Drotar and Tom Mascher played well in the field.

CONNECTICUT EQUINE 20, CONNECTICUT PAIN CARE 15: Nathan Crevier and Kyle Kromberg paced Equine at the plate while Dan Clement and Andy Lapple led the D. For Pain Care, Josh Leighton and George Zaruba led the offense as Brian Grimes and Ed White were strong in the field.

DR HENRY GELLERT 14, WISVEST 5: Thomas Faeth and Ian Archer hit the ball hard for Dr Gellert, but it was the defensive play that highlighted the day. Besides the work of Nicholas Tarantino and Joey Christiano III, Keith McGrath made a triple play to end the sixth inning. For Wisvest, Ryan Cahalane and Craig Baldino both had run-scoring hits while Mike Kink and Garrett Sando made nice catches in the field.

NEWTOWN LIMOUSINE 5, NEWTOWN BEE 1: Michael Poelti, Steve Oberstadt, Matt Mascolo and Joe Selezan led the Limousine while Christian Steimle, David Hutchinson, Andrew Rothenberg and Michael Iorfino powered the Bee.

TAUNTON PRESS 7, DENTAL ASSOCIATES 1: Maxwell Muraskiewicz singled, tripled and homered and Keith Hoffman banged out two hits, including a triple, to lead Taunton Press to a victory. John Savarese and Garrett Uhde were solid on defense. For Dental, Betsy Vendel drove in the lone run. Pete Wlasuk had a pair of hits, Brian Murphy pitched well, and Kevin Bonacci made a great catch in the outfield.

NEWTOWN LIMOUSINE 9, BASE TECHNOLOGIES 9: A seesaw game ended in a tie. Matt Mascolo and JR Shire led Newtown Limo with three hits apiece (Mascolo tripled) while Stephen Oberstadt and Mike Poeltl were solid in the field. For Base, Mike Coyle (three RBI) and Brian Reszoly (a triple) banged out four hits apiece and Patrick Stein chipped in with three hits and a fine defensive game in the field. Vincent DeAngelis and Mike Notaro played well.

J&J POOL 7, DENTAL ASSOCIATES 3: Timmy Lacouture, Jake DeVellis, Dan Cody, and John Gouveia played well and led J&J Pool to the win. For Dental Associates, Drew Woods, Jim Poe, Connor Carroll and Betsy Vendel all had good games.

DR HENRY GELLERT 12, BOB TENDLER REAL ESTATE 11: Brian Cantore, Joshua Muniz, and Colin Nanavaty led Gellert as Brendan Blawie, Dan Greenwood, Spencer Gregorie and Tyler Edwards led Tendler.

CONNECTICUT EQUINE PRACTICE 9, BOB TENDLER REAL ESTATE 8: Ryan Lasher, Adam Schankman, Jeremy Crouch, and Andy Lapple led CEP as Tory Deskin, Harrison Gillis, Tim Dalton and Evan Barreto powered Tendler.

NICK’S RESTAURANT 10, AUTOMATED SECURITY 1: Adam Horvath (2-for-3 with two RBI), Kris Arnt (3-for-3 with two runs and a stolen base), Mitchell Bloomberg (two strikeouts and an unassisted out at third) and Joe Cappiello led Nick’s as Kyle McNamara (double), Jack List (RBI single), and John Aminti and Chris Marks (double-play combo from third to second) led Automated.

DR HENRY GELLERT 14, CONNECTICUT PAIN CARE 12: Matt Slattery slammed a home run and Ian Archer made a game-ending catch to send Gellert on to the win. Nick Dugdave, Brian Cantore and Colin Nanavaty all played well. For CPC, Kevin Leibold (three hits), Matt Iassogna (a double and two runs scored), Kevin O’Connell (threw out a runner at second) and George Zaruba (great catch) led the way.

DHCA 10, WISVEST 3: Adam Buccino, Zach Favrote, Jeff Spencer and Walker LaVordera led DHCA as Gabriel Blais, Jason Howell, Marc Reyes and Daniel O’Connor powered Wisvest.

TAUNTON PRESS 4, AUTOMATED SECURITY 0: Ralph Sergiovanni and David Kopysienski banged out two hits apiece to lead Taunton Press. Craig Schrenckenghaust pitched a solid game and Garrett Uhde had a solid defensive game at short. For Automated, Paul Murphy collected a pair of hits, Michael Gabor had a big hit, and Chris Marks pitched well.

BOB TENDLER REAL ESTATE 9, DHCA 7: Kevin Carney, Conor Carman, Harrison Gillis, and Sean Gill led Tendler while Dyanl Huebner, Kevin McCarthy, CJ Portlese and Bryan Kurus led DHCA.

MIDGETS

ASSOCIATED REFUSE versus TROY: Curtis Droniak, Michael Reyer, Colin Morris and Nick Reduk led Associated as Cullen Merrifield, Nicholas DiGlasio and Daniel Gallagher led Troy.

NEWTOWN FARM AND GARDEN versus THE NATURAL LOOK: Connor Mason and Andrew Seymour led the Newtown Farm and Garden offense while Brendan Saage and Chad Cullens anchored the defense. Cullens made two putouts in the final inning. For The Natural Look, Jason Marks (with a double) and Oliver Powers paced the offense as Cole Baldino and Ryan Tita played well on defense.

PIZZA PALACE versus CARMINUCCIO’S PIZZA: Michael Greenwood had three hits and William Arndt hit well to lead Pizza Palace. Jack Kneisel and Ian McWilliams played well in the field. For Carminuccio’s, Nora Murphy, Sean Connelly, Nicholas Dinielli and Alex Madaus played well.

SUBWAY versus BLIND GUYS: Jamie Borcher, Tim Brown, Justina Paproski and Luke Shearin led Subway while Sean Ross, Travis LeBlanc, Kyler Harmeling and Brett Cinley led Blind Guys.

ROOKIE

KORTH & SHANAHAN versus FAMILY HEALTH CARE CENTER: Aaron Nezvesky had a pair of RBI doubles and George Delia had two RBI to lead Korth. Matthew Datin and Conner Deveney played well. For Health Care, Richard Andereotta, Christal Furphy, Adam Morehouse and Josh Engler all had solid games.

DANZIGER HOMES versus AMARAL MOTORS: Mike Tobin and Sean Kennedy hit the ball hard for Danziger while Will Northrop (at the pitcher’s position) and Zach Baudisch (at third) shined on defense. For Amaral, Richard Redmond, Myles Adams-Shephard, Christopher Giglio and Devon Wiggers had good games.

NEWTOWN INSURANCE versus VILLA RESTAURANT: Josh Zimmerman, Lewis Thompson, John Fracker and Nathan Stein led Newtown Insurance while Brandon Bowen (two triples), Kodi Kollmeyer, Zachary Dent and Daniel Lynch (unassisted double play) led Villa.

CONNECTICUT FAMILY CHIROPRACTIC versus TRENDSETTERS INTERNATIONAL: Sean Maher and Mitch Udisky were strong at the plate while Ryan Schmidt and Alison Pliszka played well in the field to lead CFC. For Trendsetters, Kyle Vignone, Thomas Coscia, Julian Krinke and Tyler Grant all played well.

BISCOE EXCAVATING versus WENTWORTH LABS: Max Nacewicz (three singles and a triple), Michael Shannon (three-run home run), Alex Saviano, and Chris Caulfield led Biscoe while Ian Kopcik (5-for-5), Tomy Roberts, Evelyn Fahey and Ryan Pasko led Wentworth.
