Housatonic Valley Waldorf School (HVWS) will present a puppet show of The Frog Prince on Saturday, March 5, at 10 am, at the school's classroom building at 1 Jacklin Road. The Frog Prince takes place in a well, a castle, and a carriage. The main characters are a prince who has been turned into a frog, a princess, her father the king, and the prince's faithful servant, Iron Henry.waldorfct.org.

The public is invited, and reservations are not needed.

The princess agrees to be friends with the frog after he helps her find her missing golden ball, but finds she has a hard time keeping her promise to him.

The puppet show, in the Waldorf tradition, will feature hand-sewn puppets, plant-dyed silks, and a simple, age-appropriate performance style suited to young children's attention spans and level of awareness. The puppet show is appropriate for ages 3-8.

Admission is free, however The HVWS Puppetry Committee will accept a goodwill offering to support Women for Women International, an organization helping women survivors of war rebuild their lives (womenforwomen.org).

The school is hosting an open house this weekend. Prospective students and parents are invited to visit on Saturday, February 27, between 10 am to noon, to visit classrooms, meet faculty, and learn about the Waldorf experience.
