Mathew Raino and Heather Brown

Michael and Mari Raino of Newtown announce the engagement of their son, Mathew, to Heather Brown, daughter of Paul and Donna Brown of Groton, Mass.

The couple met at the University of South Carolina. Ms Brown and Mr Raino both graduated from there with bachelor of science degrees in business.

Mr Raino is an underwriting specialist in bonds and Ms Brown is a compensation consultant with Travelers in Hartford.

An October 2005 wedding in Groton is planned, to be followed by a wedding trip to Hawaii.
