Boot Camp Fundraiser A Success By Kelly Paredes
To the Editor:
Ben's Lighthouse would like to first acknowledge NYA Sports and Fitness for their generous donation in allowing us to use their turf and facility rooms for our Boot Camp Fundraiser this past weekend.ÃÂ The space was ideal for boot camp participants to work their hardest!ÃÂ In addition, the kids area was a huge hit with the bouncy house and available space to play dodgeball and participate in their own fun workout.
We also want to thank the dozens of volunteers of all ages who joined us to provide arts and crafts activities, child care supervision and lots of energy for playing games.ÃÂ Each volunteer contribution helped to shape the event.
Mostly we send our thanks to all the participants who came out to support Ben's Lighthouse and our 48 Ragnar Team runners. Ragnar is an overnight running team relay race covering 200 miles along Cape Cod from Hull to Provincetown. Team members each run three times, with each leg ranging be-tween 3-8 miles and varying in difficulty.ÃÂ It will take place on May 13-15.ÃÂ We are so grateful to have this group of amazing runners!
Ben's Lighthouse connects all children and is committed to continuing establish programs that em-power young people to develop the self-awareness, empathy and social connections they need to find and share their own light.
Sincerely,
Kelly Paredes
