Modern Day Slavery

SOUTHBURY — B’nai Israel’s 3rd Annual Human Rights Program will be presented Sunday, July 12.

Members of B’nai Israel and Free The Slaves will team up to present a powerful program featuring the video Slavery 101, showing how slavery, not legal anywhere, nevertheless exists just about everywhere, including the United States.

Members of B’nai Israel will perform live dramatic readings of slave situations, with audience discussion to follow. Talks will focus on what can be done and why it is not getting done.

There will also be videos of incredible heroes who escaped after years of slavery, educated themselves, and then amazingly managed to free others.

Admission is free, but donations will be accepted. All are welcome.

Doors open at 1 and the program will start at 1:30.
