Longtime Newtown Human Resources Director Carole Ross was the subject of an impromptu retirement party Friday, April 15, in the Newtown Municipal Center Council Chambers, where she was fêted by more than three dozen town workers and officials, including First Selectman Pat Llodra, former first selectman Joe Borst, and former First Selectman and current Selectman Herb Rosenthal.

Ms Ross received a Newtown lithograph as a parting gift, as well as some books, libations, and a few games to take along as she and her husband, William, retire to travel the East Coast on their boat.
