Watercolor Demonstration July 11
SCAN, the Society of Creative Arts of Newtown, will have Adele Moros painting a watercolor landscape at a meeting of SCAN on Wednesday evening, July 11, at 7:30. This demo will take place at the Newtown Meeting House, 33 Main Street (lower level), at the flagpole. It is not necessary to be a member of SCAN to attend. Admission is free.
Adele Moros is a multimedia artist producing portraits, still life, landscapes, public art, miniatures, and murals. With a background in fashion and advertising, she has taught painting for more than 25 years. Her âTiffany Cowâ brought $60,000 at the New York Cow Parade 2000 auction. Slides of that cow are used in Tiffany lectures at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She also has several miniature paintings in the permanent collection of the Toy and Miniature Museum of Kentucky.
Ms Morosâs paintings, both large and small, are included in more than 600 public, corporate, and private collections. This spring two of her life-sized cows were purchased by a company in Japan. She also had a both full-sized and a miniature landscapes sent to France.
Ms Moros won First Place Watercolor in the last two Richter Arts Shows. Currently her âGlobe Trotter,â life-sized faux stained glass horse, is on display at the Metro Station in Stamford.
