Another Cold War

To the Editor:

I have been a resident of Newtown for over 33 years. In the twilight years of my life I have been fortunate enough to lead the good life – Florida in the winter and Connecticut in the summer. I usually don’t write letters to the editor for public consumption, but there is something very dangerous to the welfare of our great country going on now.

A man who literally stole the presidency of the United sates with the help of his brother, the governor of Florida, now resides in the White House pretending to be the President. Do you know that over 15,000 Florida voters were denied the right to vote, thereby allowing the Bush team to claim the electoral votes from Florida? I know, I was there and saw it happening myself.

Now, this usurper is in the process of beginning another cold war with Russia, China, and even European allies we have had for years. What is wrong with this man? We need a $50 billion star-wars missile defense program like we need a hole in the head. Within eight years we could be in another war, but this time it will be us against the world. This man must be stopped now, before it’s too late.
