LAS Sponsors Shorebird Walk

The Lillinonah Audubon Society (LAS) will travel to Milford Point and Great Meadows in Stamford on Sunday, August 8, from 1:30 to 4:30 pm, to search for migrating shorebirds. The half-day outing will be led by Southbury (Bent-of-The-River) Audubon Center bird expert Carolyn Longstreth.

Anyone planning to take the LAS shorebird walk should meet at the Exit 14 commuter parking lot off I-84. There will be a quick stop for food and drink. Bring a hat and drinking water, and prepare for the sun. The public is invited. Call Carolyn at 203-264-9502 for more information.
