Many Help Make The Book Sale

A Success

To the Editor:

“Books are the Wealth of the World,” the theme of the Friends of the Library annual book sale, is what brought thousands of shoppers to the area this past weekend. The Friends’ ability to provide exceptional quality books, DVDs, CDs, music and audio books at affordable prices once again brought book lovers from all over the United States to Newtown.

We can’t do it alone, and so we wish to take this opportunity to thank those who support our work on behalf of the C.H. Booth Library:

Jeff Smith, A Sign Depot; Tony Posca, Andrea’s Pastry Shop; Boy Scout Troop 70; Caraluzzi’s Markets; Eddie and Meagan, Carminuccio’s Pizza; C.H. Booth Library Board of Trustees and library staff; Dan Shields, Chartwells Food Service; Ivan, CT VIP Relocations; Darlene, Curtis Packaging; Jeff Dymerksi, Dunkin’ Donuts; Ralph Freer, Eastern Color Graphics and Printing; McKinney Communications; Newtown Florist; Newtown Police Department; Pudelz Tee Shirts; Reed Intermediate School staff, especially Donna Denniston, Bea Gellert, and custodians Ron and Rich; Stop & Shop; Nancy Crevier and The Newtown Bee; the Town of Newtown; World of Wine & Spirits, and last but not least all the volunteers — without you it wouldn’t happen. Thank you!

Proceeds of the book sale directly enhance the library’s book, audio books, and DVD collections, its subscription services, as well as its technological needs.

Sincerely,

Denise Kaiser
