New Television Show Featuring Local Food And Newtown's Chef Plum
A new television show, Edible Nutmeg on the Road, will feature food and drink from across Connecticut and Newtown resident Kristopher Plummer (also known as "Chef Plum"). It will premier this Saturday, November 26, on Channel WCTX, Channel 9 for most Connecticut cable providers, at 6:30 am.Edible Nutmeg Magazine recently announced the show, which was a collaboration with Pork Belly Productions, a "boutique production company" in Connecticut, according to porkbellyllc.com.Edible Nutmeg on the Road will feature where local food comes from, and how it is nurtured. From oysters, bison, and microgreens to beer, bread, and bees, the show will help viewers discover some of the best (and lesser known) food producers the Nutmeg state has to offer.vimeo.com/190616798Edible Nutmeg on the Road television series include Ambler Farm, Black Hog Brewery, Copp's Island Oysters, Gilbertie's, The Hickories, Litchfield Distillery, Mohawk Bison Farm, New Canaan Nature Center Harvest Festival, Oui Charcuterie Farm, Red Bee Honey, Shearwater Coffee, and Wavehill Breads.
For the past year Pork Belly Productions has been working to identify local farms and purveyors to film short, inspiring online videos, and celebrate what Connecticut has to offer. Each segment incorporates interviews, humor, and facts with quick, easy recipes.
Chef Plum will hit the road each week with brand new footage, episodes, and adventures.
