To the Editor:

There simply aren't enough words to express our gratitude to all who helped make the EverWonder Children's Museum Science of Wine event a success. Over 100 people gathered at Nouveau Monde Wine Bar in Sandy Hook to raise funds to benefit the museum's cause to cultivate a lifelong love-of-learning in children by encouraging them to think, inquire, and wonder about the world around them. We are so grateful to the community for championing this event in support of the museum.

A special thanks is made to The Hermitage Club at Haystack Mountain, Harman, Diageo, Eagle Rock Day Camp, Roots of Fight, Total Wine & More, Connecticut Science Center, Greenleaf Energy Solutions, Saybrook Point Inn & Spa, Bridgeport Bluefish, Eric Linnetz, DVM, Sue & Jack Davis, and Pez for their support of our cause.

Thank you to Peter Chang and Bill Towne of Nouveau Monde Wine Bar for hosting the event which provided a beautiful and unique setting. The Mike Cusato Band of Fairfield provided music that got people dancing and lent a party atmosphere to the evening.

A big thanks to all the volunteers who contributed to making the event a success. The museum's development committee made up of the following volunteers, Amy Davis, Doria Linnetz, and Matthew Worwood, went above and beyond the call of duty as volunteers. Also, thank you to volunteer auctioneer Helen Brickfield, business development director at chamber of Commerce of Newtown, for leading our first live auction.

On behalf of the museum staff and museum board of directors we thank our friends from Newtown and from surrounding communities for their support of this event. We wish everyone a healthy and happy holiday season and we can't wait to see you at the museum.
