After sampling breakfast options and snacks, Fraser Woods Montessori School family members and invited guests entered the school's gymnasium on Thursday, December 15, for the school's annual Holiday Celebration.
Head of School Chris Robertson welcomed the crowd to the event by speaking about the cartoon
A Charlie Brown Christmas. In the cartoon, Mr Robertson said, the characters learn to see the beauty in life through a little tree. The characters see something special and unique, he said. He sees that same kind of beauty when he hears children sing, Mr Robertson said.
"No show can hold a candle to when you hear a child sing," Mr Robertson said, before the Holiday Celebration began.
During the celebration, Fraser Woods Montessori School middle school students performed on the drums; lower elementary school students sang songs such as "All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth;" upper elementary and middle school students performed songs on keyboards; the upper elementary and middle school orchestra performed songs including "Silent Night;" the upper elementary school students sang songs; and the upper elementary and middle school chorus members sang songs that included "Viva La Vida" and "Winter Wonderland."
