Seeking Classical Musicians

DANBURY — Danbury Music Centre is seeking musicians to perform classical music in orchestras and a chorus. There are opportunities to play in Danbury Symphony Orchestra, Danbury Community Orchestra, Danbury Preparatory String Orchestra, and to sing in Danbury Concert Chorus.

Weekly rehearsals are at Danbury Music Centre, 256 Main Street.

Danbury Symphony Orchestra, directed by Ariel Rudiakov, rehearses on Monday evenings and will present a concert on Sunday, November 1. There are openings in all string sections.

Danbury Concert Chorus, directed by Richard Price, rehearses on Tuesday evenings and will present a concert on Saturday, November 14. There are vacancies in the soprano, alto, tenor and bass sections. There are no auditions to join this group.

Danbury Community Orchestra, directed by Stephen Michael Smith, rehearses on Wednesday evenings and will present a concert on Sunday, December 6. There are vacancies in all string sections.

Danbury Preparatory String Orchestra is directed by Glen Lebetkin and rehearses on Thursday evenings. This group is comprised of string players of all ages who have had limited experience playing in a performing ensemble.
