An Invitation To ‘Go Batty’

BRIDGEPORT – Children in grades K-2 can “Go Batty” on October 23 at The Discovery Museum, 4450 Park Avenue in Bridgeport.

Despite their scary reputation, bats are fascinating and useful creatures. In this science-craft workshop, participants will learn some amazing facts about these night animals. Some fruit bats, for example, have a five-foot wing span.

Before the 10 am workshop ends, each child will make a bat that even mom will let him or her keep. The cost is $11 and reservations are required.

“Go Batty” is a program of the Wonder Workshop, located on the grounds of The Discovery Museum, one mile south of Exit 47 off the Merritt Parkway. Free, staffed parking is available adjacent to the museum.
