Two MS Support Groups In Waterbury

WATERBURY — One of two Waterbury multiple sclerosis (MS) support groups meets on the third Monday of each month at 6 pm at the Village at East Farms, 180 Scott Road. For more information, contact Jackie at 203-753-2708.

The other Waterbury MS support group meets in the Function Room at the Joseph Jaynes Building, 77-79 Bishop Street at 5:30 pm on the third Wednesday of each month. For more information, contact Karen at 203-754-9656.

There are more than 6,000 Connecticut residents diagnosed with MS, an oftentimes debilitating disease affecting the central nervous system. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Connecticut Chapter offers more than 30 support groups throughout Connecticut.

These groups bring together people who share a common life experience as it relates to MS and its effects.
