Newtown police remind residents that the town's annual alarm registration renewals are due on July 1.

The renewals cover the alarms to which police respond, such as burglar alarms, hold-up alarms, and panic alarms. The annual registration renewal fee is $5. Original registrations cost $25.

Alarm renewal applications are available at the police department's website, under Records Division.
