Angela Stellato, 89, of Shelton, died February 23 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, with family by her side. She was born May 23, 1926, in Vitulazio, Italy, and was the daughter of the late Teresa (Di Donato) and Francisco Russo.

Mrs Stellato will be missed by her loving husband of 69 years, Antonio Stellato; and her three children and spouses, Theresa and Markus Balas of Shelton and recent 15-year residents of Newtown, Lina and Joseph Luciano of Trumbull, and John and Valerie Stellato of Mahopac, N.Y. She was also a loving Nonna to Joseph Luciano and his wife Michelle, Vito Luciano, Anne Marie Martini and husband Mark, Carlo Luciano and his wife Kelly, Paul Stellato, Nicole Stellato, Michael McClure, and Angela Swingle and husband Paul. She was also blessed with being a great-grandmother of five.

Mrs Stellato's family and her faith in God meant everything to her.

Family and friends may call Sunday, February 28, from 2 to 5 pm, at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, February 29, at 10 am, at St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum, 289-284 Secor Road, Hartsdale, N.Y.
