James T. Tomer, 94, of Danbury, husband of Bridget (Enright) Tomer, died February 15. He was born in Methuen, Mass., May 14, 1921, a son of the late Effie (Malouf) and Charles Tomer. He relocated from the Lawrence-Methuen area with his family as a child and attended Danbury schools.www.woundedwarriorproject.org.

In addition to his wife of 63 years, three sons, Michael M. Tomer of Newtown, James T. Tomer, Jr, of Danbury, and Sean T. Tomer of New Fairfield; a grandson, Sean Tomer; and several nieces and nephews survive Mr Tomer. His parents; three brothers, Edward, Abraham, and Joseph Tomer; and two sisters, Nellie Tomer and Rosemary Tomer, predeceased him.

He was a World War II US Navy veteran.

A hatter in early years, Mr Tomer then was employed with Sperry Products of Danbury and the former Durkin's Diner. From 1966 to 1986, Mr Tomer was employed with the State of Connecticut in its food service division as a cook at the Fairfield Hills State Hospital campus.

Graveside funeral services and burial will take place in the spring at Wooster Cemetery, Danbury, with military honors. There will be no calling hours.
