Arthur R. Cordio, 35, of Waterbury died June 22 in his home. He was born in Danbury on December 27, 1980. He was a son of Michelle (Rell) Chrissey of Waterbury, formerly of Sandy Hook, and the late Anthony Cordio.www.honanfh.com.

Mr Cordio grew up in Sandy Hook and attended Newtown schools. Prior to a motorcycle accident in 2002, he was active in sports.

Mr Cordio's family wishes to thank all of his caregivers for the excellent care and quality of life given to him over the last 14 years.

In addition to his mother, his sister Keriann Cordio of Waterbury, previously of Sandy Hook; his paternal grandfather Arthur Cordio of New Fairfield; his paternal grandmother Mary Robson of Florida, previously of Sandy Hook; his maternal grandfather Conrad H. Rell of Georgia, previously of Sandy Hook; his step-grandfather Robert Robson of Waterbury; three nephews; a niece; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins survive him.

His maternal grandmother, Marilyn Rell, and two uncles, Tommy D. Rell and Conrad H. Rell, Jr, predeceased him.

A memorial service will take place on Thursday, June 30, at 1 pm, in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Interment will follow in St Rose Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday after noon prior to the service. To leave an online condolence, visit
