Bring Back Officer Stein
To the Editor:
I am writing in deep concern for a recent change that has occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary School. I know that many parents, as well as staff, share the same concern that our family currently does. Prior to the school year our community discovered that our beloved SRO Officer Frank Stein had been reassigned and would no longer be at SHS after his three years of exemplary duty.
Officer Frank Stein has been an integral part of our school community. Frank is always considerate, kind, helpful, and truly cares about all Sandy Hook students. Not only that, but he also went above and beyond his duties to ensure the safety of our children and staff. His continued presence helped to make the transition much easier for all of us from our Monroe campus back to our home in Sandy Hook.
We are sincerely hoping that our collective voices will be heard and the powers that be will rethink this decision for the benefit of our community.
Thank you.
