Trudy Emma Haberstroh
Trudy Emma Haberstroh, 86, of Sandy Hook died peacefully December 12. She was born in Schramberg, Germany, July 5, 1929, and was a daughter of the late Josephine and Andreas Schwartzwelder. She was the wife of the late Horst Haberstroh.
In 1953 she came to the United States with her husband in search of the American dream, settling in New York City. They moved to Sandy Hook in 1959, where they raised their family.
Mrs Haberstroh loved gardening and all animals. She was involved with the Spay and Neuter Association of Newtown for a period of time. She very much appreciated everything that she had.
She leaves behind two loving children, her son, Ralph Haberstroh, and his wife Susan, of Sandy Hook and her daughter, Susan Guido of New Fairfield. Two grandsons, Steven and Kevin Guido of New Fairfield, also survive Mrs Haberstroh.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Terri and the staff at the Hearth of Southbury for being so nice to their mother.

A graveside service will take place Friday December 18, at 11 am, at the Newtown Village Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
