John "Jack" Petrusaitis III, 76, of Milford, beloved husband of Eleanor Williams Petrusaitis, died July 23 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mr Petrusaitis was born in Bridgeport and was the son of the late Helen (Worden) and John Petrusaitis Jr. He was a retired police officer for the City of Bridgeport and had been a lifelong area resident.www.adzimafuneralhome.com.

In addition to his wife, his devoted son Jay and wife, Sandra, of Newtown; three cherished grandchildren; sister Patty Kwochka and husband, John, of Shelton; sister-in-law Eloise Hull of Danbury; several in-laws on the Williams' side; as well as many nieces and nephews survive him.

Mr Petrusaitis was a 1957 graduate of Bassick High School and, after retiring from the police department, was employed as a marshal in the federal courthouse Bridgeport. He was an active member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #289 for more than 40 years, where he held many offices on the local, state, and national level. He was an avid bowler and was a fan of the New York Giants, but above all else enjoyed spending time with his beloved family.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, July 27, at 11 am, in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, with Pastor Frank Vega officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery in Easton.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 9 to 11 am.
