Wildcats 4, Thunder 1: The Wildcats scoring was led by Kaley Meisenheimer with three goals and Carlie Smith with one goal. The team had strong defensive play from Gabriella Sadowski, Grace Oâconnell and Julia Klien. The Thunderâs goal was scored by Meghan OâRourke. Jenna Rielly, Hannah Marcum and Maddie Stites were standouts on defense.
Mustangs 4, Cheetahs 0: Hannah Groonell scored two goals and Karsen Pirone and Kaitlyn King both had one. Natalene Sim played great offensively, and Caroline Mahoney played great defensively. Playing with only eight team members all season, the Cheetahs continue to show a valiant effort. Julia Kanaan, Amanda Conrod and
Casey Dunn played well on defense and Mary Sortino, Bella DeLorenzo, Jane Shearin and Zoe Bogan were strong on offense.

Fighting Irish 3, Lightning 1: For the Lightning, Haley Harkins scored the goal with an assist from Allie Paynter. Kaitlyn Reilly and Alexis Fortugno had two steals and Katie Peterson made three saves in goal. For the Fighting Irish, Vanessa Tucker and Priya Deraney both scored. Audrey Benson and Heidi Poarch were outstanding on both sides of the ball.
Monkees 3, Shooting Stars 2: Sarah Grant, Abby Clarke and Emma Boland scored in the win. Katelyn Henchcliffe and Nicole Keeping played all-around great games. Janyce Toth and Elizabeth Weisgerber scored for the Shooting Stars. Jackie Seras, Simone Paradis and Nina Henriques all played well in the goal.
Fighting Irish 1, Soccer Stars 1: For the Fighting Irish, Jenna Lavelle scored. Isabella Satmary and Elizabeth Mawdsley played great on defense. Makayla Manoni was terrific on both sides of the ball. For the Soccer Stars, Kristen Cirone scored. Cassidy and Keely Kortze were outstanding in the midfield. Sarah Widman and Ali Tassiello made big saves in the goal
Dynamites: 2, American Eagles: 1: The Dynamites were led with goals by Sarah Houle and Savannah Mather. Kira Kelly led the Dynamites defensively, and Catherine Shaw had an outstanding overall game. The American Eagles were led with a goal by Rylee Mulligan and an assist by Olivia Hage. Rachel Tomasino and Lauren Carrino led the Eagles defensively, and Emily Winch and Victoria Keayes had great overall games. Â
Thundering Jaguars 4, Wolverines 0: Alexis Mason put in two goals and Bella Jimenez and Julia Haskins each added a goal. Audrey Sedensky played great defense. For the Wolverines, Caroline Viselli and Mary Hufziger played well on offense, Hana Rosenthal was solid at midfield and Olivia Bellagamba anchored the defense.

Thunder 5, Wilton 4: The Thunder improved to 4 -1 and have an overall record of 5-3-1 including tournament play. Caitlyn Linden and Meghan Doyle scored two goals each. Marissa Thill also scored. Nevan Gattey anchored the defensive effort as the Thunder thwarted several Wilton rallies in the closing minutes.  Â
Killer Tigers 3, Lightening Bolts 0: Mallory Lobuglio, Ali Manfredi and Grace Frost scored for the Killer Tigers with Emily Neave assisting on all three goals. For the Lightening Bolts, Emma Schmid-Tharnish played a great game and Katrina Ringes and Juliet Grover played well in goal.
The Crushers 1, Mustangs 1: The Crushersâ Madison Pirone attacked from the backfield to score and forward Megan Nahmias had several breakaways. Goalie Kathryn Blanco made several difficult saves and Alexis Tucker was dominant in defense. For the Mustangs, strong offensive play by Danielle Scarpa and Megan Goyda resulted in a goal by Goyda. Erin Tressler and Sarah MacMullan played well on defense.

Easton-Redding 3, Comets 1 (State Cup Game): Kimberly Brello took a shot that got deflected for a goal by Casey Harkins. The lead quickly changed despite hard work by Julia Schoeni and Brittney Antous in the midfield, Sarah Lyon and Madeline Sieber in the back and goalkeeper Emily Charash.
Old Greenwich 3, Comets 0: Despite a strong defensive effort from Brenna Kelly and multiple saves in goal by Alyssa Ruefenacht, the Comets couldnât hold off their skilled opponents. Christina DeBartolomeo worked hard in the midfield, Quinn Karp provided offensive pressure and Mikayla Kuligowski added scoring chances.

Hebron 2, Lightning 1 (State Cup game): Dale Shearin and Meg Korchman played well on defense. Sarah Lynch scored for the Lightning in the opening moments of the second half. Kate Fallon did a great job in goal throughout the game, with several key saves in the second period. Siena Cicarelli and Shelby Tolla had solid ball control in the midfield.
Lightning 2, Darien Blue 2: Megan Weber, Cassie Fischer and Raquel Crespo led Newtownâs offensive effort. Emily Riley scored off an assist from Siena Cicarelli, and Kailee Dunnigan put in the second goal off a setup from Dale Shearin. Jessica Keller, Helene Sorensen and Cicarelli handled the nets for the Lightning.

Twisters 3, Team One 2: Caitlin Filiato, Aofie Flanagan and Kat Jennings scored for the Twisters. Tonya Tucker and Haley Naphen were persistent on defense. For Team One, goals were scored by Claire Miles and Sophia deVivo. Emma DeFlumeri, Emma Burns and Amanda Martinez provided strong goaltending.
NECONN 3, Newtown Flash 0 (State Cup): NECONN knocked the Flash out of State Cup competition despite strong offensive efforts by Meaghan Harkins and Stephanie Roman. Julia Trudell and Kelly Brooks played well defensively.

U6
Eagles 4, Fireball 2: Aidan Finnegan, Max Hanson, Charlie Eppers and Devin Johnson provided strong offense for the Eagles. Ethan Correia and Nate Stewart played well on defense. Fireball was led by Connor Haywood on offense and Riley Ward on defense. Sachin Mansukhani provided nice passing and Kyle Griffin was sold in goal.
LightningThunder 3, Blue Dragons 1: Tristan Andrew and Jack Stanton combined to score three goals to lead the LightningThunder. Chris Shaker, Grant Horn and Morgan Main led a strong defensive effort. Justin DeThomas scored a goal for the Blue Dragons and Deven OâConnell and Evan Camputo also played well on offense. Kyle Shelton and Leandor Adam led the Blue Dragon defensive attack.
Huskies 4, Team Nine 2: Atilla Sepkin and William Swierbut each had two goals, Fritz Maurath played well in goal and William Crebbin played great defense. Team Nineâs offense was led by Thomas Armstrong, Daniel Pond, and Brett Pierce. Great defense was led by Jackson Reinhart, Joshua Viauso and Dylan Wilhelmsson.

Blue Hurricanes 1, Hawks 0: For the Hawks, John Albanesi, Luke Fischer and Declan Sughrue played great offensive games, and Joel Duval and Nick Weiland worked hard to provide solid defense. For the Blue Hurricanes, Adam Farley scored and Silas Decker had an assist. On offense, Miles Martiska played a great game. Benjamin Qi and Billy Bruno did an outstanding job on defense.

The Storm 6, Ridgefield 1: Richard Ciamarra poured in three goals for the Stormâs first hat-trick, and Hayes Kelchner, Mike Meyers and Austin Engler had one goal each. Thomas Leuci and Alex Hess had assists with deft passing and great ball handling. Jamie Cochrane, Matthew Tassiello and Jack Riley played shut-down defense.Â
Tigers 5, Flipping Fladoodles 1: The Tigers were led by Evan Eggleston who scored three goals, and Tony Leonardi and Christopher Anesi each chipped in a goal. Danny McCarthy played a great game in goal. Christian Morlock scored the lone goal for the Flipping Fladoodles. Ryan Kost and Dawson Goodrich played strong games at midfield and Cooper Buonocore played well in goal.

Newtown Strikers 5, Trumbull Blue Dragons 2 (State Cup): Cole Rogalin led all scorers as the Strikers advanced in State Cup play. Rogalin was set up by Bryce Mather for the first goal of the game and went on to score two more for the Strikers. Jonathan Guilherme added two goals and Alex Gerbo, James Carney and Scott Martin spurred the offense. Matt Stewart played the entire game in goal, making several key saves to secure the win, and Liam McNichols played both ends of the field well.

Newtown White Lightning 2, Glastonbury 0 (State Cup): Mike Cook scored after he took a pass from Jeremy Doski. Sawyer Conrad was set up by Ryan King on a give-and-go. The âMidfield Fiveâ of Jeremy Doski, Will Swain, Ryan King, Michael Cook and Nathyn Horvath controlled possession of the ball and dominated play with pinpoint passing and winning the loose balls. Strike Michael Biancardi continued to pressure opposing defenders. The defense was led by Knute Johnson, Kevin Droniak, Patrick Rowley and Sawyer Conrad. Pete Manfredonia had his third shutout in a row in goal.
Newtown 1, Redding 1: Nathyn Horvath made a cross that Ryan King converted into a goal on a header. Daniel Hamula and Carter Normand generated offense from the midfield and Raymond Xue and Genti Limani created scoring opportunities. The defense was led by Knute Johnson who made a great play at the end of the game on a slide tackle that saved a potential goal. Patrick Rowley and Kevin Droniak stepped it up when Sawyer Conrad went down with the injury. Jeremy Doski and Michael Cook had several shots between them.

Newtown Beasts 6, Fairfield 0: Matt Mossbarger had two goals and Robert Linden, Stefan Dullinger, Jonathan Schwartz and Garrison Buzzanca all scored. The defense was led by Connor Gallagher, Wesley Morlock and Matt Baldino. Owen Gaston and Austin Raftery were excellent in goal.  Â
Greenwich 1, Beasts 0: The Newtown offense was led by Matt Mossbarger, Grant Ricketts, Robert Linden and Andrew Martinez. The defense was led by Jonah Muniz, Connor Gallagher, Wesley Morlock, Matt Baldino and Doug MIller.

The Beast of the East 6, The Thez 2: Matt Rosa had a hat-trick, Creig Frigon scored twice and Ian Lew scored a goal. Tyler Coleman also played well in the win. Otto Kuler and Justin Germak each scored and Danny Cummings and David Csordas played well in defeat.
