HARTFORD - Governor Dannel P. Malloy  announced Tuesday, September 5, that US and state flags should return to full-staff at sunset that evening.John S. McCain when it collided with a merchant vessel off the coast of Singapore, August 21.

Flags in the state have been at half-staff in honor of US Navy Petty Officer Dustin Doyon of Suffield, who was among those who died on board the USS

In the coming weeks, Governor Malloy will again direct flags to be lowered to half-staff on the date of Petty Officer Doyon's interment, pending the scheduling of memorial services.
