Jennifer Desrosiers, 24, a former resident of Newtown, died from injuries received in an automobile accident, November 10, in Orlando, Fla., where she resided.

Ms Desrosiers was a communicant of St Rose of Lima church when she was growing up in Newtown, and attended St Rose of Lima School. She graduated from Newtown High School in 2009, and received her bachelor of arts degree from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2013.

She was an artist, and was the coordinator of children’s art programs at the YMCA in Orlando.

Ms Desrosiers was a vivacious, happy, and creative young woman, with a spontaneous sense of humor. She brought joy and happiness to her family and many friends. She could talk to anyone, and loved being with people, and her dog.

The family cannot begin to express the depth of their loss.

Her parents Albert Desrosiers and Kathleen Chrusciel-Desrosiers of Newtown; sister Sarah Desrosiers; grandmother Alice Chrusciel; and two aunts and their families survive Ms Desrosiers. Her friend Cavan was also a special person in her life.

Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Sunday, November 15, from 2 to 4 pm, and 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, Monday, November 16, at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in St Rose Cemetery.
