Keith M. O'Donnell

Keith M. O'Donnell, 62, formerly of Newtown, died on the morning of September 10. He was the husband of Mary Sabia O'Donnell of Stamford. He was born January 17, 1954, in Saugus, Mass., a son of the late Margaret Walsh and George W. O'Donnell.

He attended Wakefield High School in Massachusetts. Following high school, he served as a Seabee in the United States Navy and was stationed in Wales. He attended Northeastern University and graduated with Bachelor of Science in business administration in 1981. His career began working for International Paper in New York. He remained working in the corrugated box industry for more than 30 years and earned many awards as the top sales account executive.

Mr O'Donnell enjoyed spending his weekends, among other things, kayaking and boating on the lake, visiting with his family in Newport, R.I., and riding four-wheelers in the woods across the Northeast when his boys were young.

His loving wife, Mary; his three devoted sons, George O'Donnell, Eric O'Donnell and his wife Mollie, and Robert O'Donnell; his wife's family; and his cousins survive him. His brother Edward O'Donnell predeceased him.

Mr O'Donnell's family will be receiving the condolences of friends and family at Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home (next to the Knights of Columbus), 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, on Tuesday, September 13, from 4 to 7 pm.

The relatives and friends of Mr O'Donnell are invited to attend the funeral service at St Francis Episcopal Church, 2810 Long Ridge Road, Stamford, on Wednesday, September 14, at 10 am. Interment will follow at St John's Cemetery, Stamford.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr O'Donnell memory to Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer, lustgarten.org,or the Bennett Cancer Center, stamfordhealth.org.
