Dorothy Boss Otto, 86, of Newtown, beloved wife of the late Urson “Chap” Otto, died October 21 in Danbury Hospital. Born in Hinsdale, Ill., August 6, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Rose and Frederick Boss. She was a resident of Trumbull before moving to Newtown in 1972.

She and her husband founded Stepney Hardware in 1960, which is still family owned and operated.

Mrs Otto enjoyed gardening and had a love for music and cooking. Her greatest joy was found in the time she spent with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Michael and Maureen Otto of New Milford and David and Sherry Otto of Shelton; her sister, Marilyn Boss of Reno, Nev.; her granddaughter Cheryl Otto of Tampa, Fla.; and two great-grandchildren.

A prayer service took place October 25. Interment will be private, at the convenience of the family.
