‘Hope Around The World’ Theme

For Relay For Life Kickoff

Guy Russo, co-chairperson for this year’s American Cancer Society Relay for Life, extends an invitation to those who have already registered or are interested in becoming a part of this year’s Newtown Relay to attend the Newtown Annual Kickoff celebration, “Hope Around The World,” on Wednesday, February 1, at the Newtown High School Cafeteria from 7 to 9 pm. Coach’s Deli of Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook will provide dinner.

The evening will be filled with fun, and information about the all-night walkathon fundraiser for the fight against cancer will be readily available. Anyone interested in selecting a tent site for the June Relay event is encouraged to register teams of eight to 15 participants at www.acsevents.org/relay/ctnewtown in advance of the February 1 kickoff.

The Relay for Life is scheduled for June 10 to 11, from 7 pm to 7 am, at the Newtown High School track and is open to walkers of all ages.
