Frederick Charles Nacovitch, 55, of Sumter, S.C., died August 3, while riding the motorcycle that he loved. He was the son of Rosemarie Hungerford Nacovitch and the late Frederick Nacovitch of Trumbull.

“Butch,” as he was known by his family, is survived by his loving wife of 32 years and best friend for 41 years, Laura Smith Nacovitch, and his sons Jason and Ryan, whom he loved very dearly. His sisters Christine Orrico, and husband Ronald, of Sandy Hook, Jeanmarie Falcone Montabana, and husband Gary, of Trumbull, and Theresa Kohalmi, and husband David, of Milford; his father- and mother-in-law Tom and Gloria Smith of Trumbull; brothers- and sisters-in-laws; and nieces and nephews also survive Mr Nacovitch. He also leaves behind his faithful dogs.

In addition to his love of motorcycles, Mr Nacovitch enjoyed playing his bass guitar and harmonica in his bands, and spending time with his family. He was a great athlete and at one time held the title of “Mr Sumter, South Carolina” in body building.

Friends are invited to attend the visitation at Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Road, Trumbull, on Saturday, August 10, from 2 to 4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at www.aspca.org or the Red Cross at www.redcross.org.
