Estelle R. Socha De Julio, 92, beloved wife of the late Richard L. De Julio, died May 13 at St Joseph’s Manor, Trumbull. She was born in Pennsylvania, a daughter of Anthony and Anna Churko Socha, and lived most of her life in Bridgeport.

Survivors include her beloved children and spouses, Richard F. and Lorraine De Julio of Newtown, Thomas and Lauren De Julio of Farmington, N.H., Alphonse A. De Julio of Stratford, Elisa and Raymond Meeker of Beacons Falls, and Sharon Belinski of Seffner, Fla.; a brother, Paul Bereza of Stratford; two sisters, Clara Behemke of Stratford and Rose O'Brien of Bridgeport; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A daughter, Anita Hyland; son-in-law George Belinski; and several brothers and sisters predeceased Mrs De Julio.

She worked for Avco Lycoming before leaving to raise her family. She served as a Bridgeport Police Commissioner, member of the Women's Democratic League, and was an honorary ringmaster for the Barnum Festival.

Funeral services will take place Friday, May 16, at 9:45 am, from the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, and at 10:30 am in St James Church, Stratford, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St John’s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 am, Friday.
