Virginia “Ginny” Burdett Zinn, 88, of Sandy Hook died August 19 at her home. She was born in Milford to Edith (Barrow) and Ernest Burdett, and was the wife of the late Walter J. Zinn.

Mrs Zinn was a member of Eastern Star for more than 60 years, along with numerous other organizations, including the Newtown Congregational Church.

Her beloved sister and best friend, Laura Wildman; sons Russell J. Zinn of Bethlehem, Walter B. Zinn of Southbury; daughters-in-law Kerry Zinn and Sharon Zinn; son-in-law James Norling; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews survive Mrs Zinn.

She will be sadly missed, but very happily remembered by all who knew her.

A memorial service will take place Sunday, August 23, at 3 pm, at the Newtown Congregational Church.
