Anna M. Bonacci

Anna M. Bonacci, 92, of Danbury died July 13, surrounded by her loving family, at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of Felix A. Bonacci. She was born April 2, 1923, in Chatel Sur Moselle, France, and was the daughter of the late Eugene (Martin) and Jules Hoberdon.

In addition to her husband of 66 years, her children Jack Bonacci, and his wife Sue, of Newtown, Marc Bonacci, and his wife Jennifer, of Sandy Hook, Linda Swan, and her companion Jim, of Delta, Penn., Diana Stavola, and her husband Lee, of Bethel, Maryan Sholtes, and her husband Bob, of Bethel; 14 grandchildren, Angela, Christine, Michelle, Meliah, Jake, Eric, Luke, Leah, John, Gina, Markie, Sarah, Kevin, and Jacquelyn; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marcelle Sabol of Parkersburg, W.V.; a sister-in-law, Frances Colapietro of Terryville; and several nieces and nephews survive Mrs Bonacci.

As a young woman, she came to the United States in 1947, at the request of her future husband, whom she had met while he was in France during World War II. They married in 1948, and following their marriage lived in Torrington, prior to returning to Danbury in 1952 to raise their family.

Mrs Bonacci was employed with the Qualitron Corp, Danbury, as a quality control technician, from which she retired following 15 years of service.

She was a parishioner of Saint Joseph Church, Danbury.

Following her husband's retirement in 1988, the Bonaccis spent the winter months in Florida, and also enjoyed traveling to both France and Italy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, Friday, July 17, at Saint Joseph Church, 8 Robinson Avenue, Danbury. Burial will be in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, Thursday, July 16, from 5 to 8 pm.
