Frederick S. Cisko, Jr, 86, of Shelton, and previously of Newtown and Bridgeport, died April 26 in St Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport. He was the devoted husband of 65 years to Angeles “Ann” (Fernandez) Cisko. He was born in Bridgeport, March 24, 1929, and was the son of the late Elizabeth H. (Shomsky) and Frederick S. Cisko.

He was a captain with the Bridgeport Police Department, with more than 35 years of service before his retirement. After his retirement, he worked for 16 years with the US Marshal Service in the Bridgeport Court System. He received countless awards for his many accomplishments throughout his career, and will always be remembered fondly by the people who knew him.

Mr Cisko was also a lifelong Mason and a lifetime member of the Pequonnock Yacht Club.

He was the beloved father of Janet Saloomey and Lisa Cisko Lambert; father-in-law of Arthur Lambert; cherished grandfather of Jessica Cisko Essenter and her husband, Brian. An adoring great-granddaughter and two loving nieces also survive Mr Cisko. His sister-in-law, Tadea Wargo, and brother-in-law, Warren Wargo, predeceased him.

His cremation has been entrusted to the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton CT 06484. Services will be private.
