Harry R. “Randy” Ackley, Jr, 43, of Stratford, formerly of Fairfield, died April 10. Born in Bridgeport, he had been a lifelong area resident.

Survivors include his beloved son whom he adored, Harry R. Ackley III; his parents,  Harry R. Ackley, Sr, and Karen Dumas Ackley of Fairfield; two beloved sisters, Amy Conroy, and her husband Brian, of Sandy Hook and Alicia Millington, and her husband Al, of Stratford; two beloved brothers, Edward Ackley, and his wife Aimee, of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and Sean Ackley of Black Rock; loving grandparents, Patricia and Eugene Dumas of Milford; loving aunts and uncles; cherished nieces and nephews; and several cousins who loved him dearly. His mother, Barbara Sabo Ackley; and his paternal grandparents, Harry W. and Rita Neupert Ackley, predeceased Mr Ackley.

He was a 1990 graduate of Fairfield High School, where he played on the golf team. Mr Ackley played Pop Warner Football and was a former member of the Southport Volunteer Fire Department.

He began his career in the golf profession working as a caddy at Brooklawn Country Club, and worked at numerous other clubs, including New Haven, Sleepy Hollow, and Oronoque Country Clubs. He also loved cooking and delighted in creating and serving extraordinary meals for his family. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends, who loved him so much.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 15, at 11 am, meeting directly at St Pius X Church 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will be private and calling hours have been omitted.
